Funeral Arrangements

Each interment requires the authorization of the certificate holder or the person authorized by law. A notarized APPLICATION FOR PERMIT TO OPEN  FORM may be required prior to scheduling an interment.

Interment Arrangements must completed by the family’s funeral director.  (An exception can be made for the interment of cremated remains whereas families may wish to make arrangements directly with the cemetery office).  Interment orders must be accepted by the Cemetery at least 8 working hours prior to the scheduled interment. The following information is required before an interment order will be accepted by the cemetery: Name and age of deceased, specific interment space to be used, name of the funeral director, date of interment and time of arrival at the Cemetery, name, address and telephone of the next of kin, evidence certifying eligibility for burial in a Catholic Cemetery (Priest Lines) and proper authorization (Certificate Presentation and/or Affidavit).

Interments in our cemeteries that require our employees to complete the interment after working hours are subject to a surcharge because the cemetery incurs additional expenses for overtime work. The surcharge applies for every 30 minutes or part thereof, such as after 2:30 PM weekdays or after 12 Noon on Saturdays until the funeral procession arrives at the cemetery office to complete their paperwork. An approved outer container is optional for all casket interments. Cemetery staff will not install vaults.

Ordinarily, three caskets and up to three urns may be placed in any one gravesite (use of a concrete vault will reduce casket space by one space). One urn may be placed in a crypt unit in addition to the predetermined casket space When more than one set of remains are interred with a burial, such as an urn inside a casket or two urns in one cremation vault, and in such a case, an affidavit is required and an additional recording fee will be charged in addition to the interment fee. The scattering of cremated remains is prohibited by our Catholic faith.
A permanent name plate is recommended to be attached to each casket brought into the Cemetery.

All interments, entombments, or inurnments will be performed privately by employees or agents of the Cemetery. Duly licensed funeral directors, undertakers or registered residents must produce their current certificate of registration upon request.

Lots not under Permanent Maintenance Care are subject to the collection of annual care charges due as payment to the Operation fund before an interment is made. The assessment must be paid in full before the interment. To eliminate misunderstandings, the family of the deceased is encouraged to personally visit the cemetery for all at-need selections (Failure to select in person will require completion of a waiver form).

Complete current rules and regulations are on file in each cemetery office. Please refer to the Cemetery Office for clarification of Rules and Regulations, policies, or for further information concerning cemetery matters. Persons other than Cemetery officials are not authorized to conduct business for the Cemetery.
